UB2, Inc.

UB2 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social community for gay men in the Greater Boston area living with HIV. Stigma attached to HIV & AIDS has contributed to social isolation for so many of us, often exacerbating feelings of loneliness and shame. While our group is not intended to be a support group in the traditional sense, UB2 encourages members to be supportive of one another, especially when times get tough. At UB2, we strive to highlight the many positives in our lives -- all in creative ways that allow us to have fun together. We brunch, we bowl, we beach, we barbecue . . . and so much more! But UB2's real success stems from having fostered a genuine sense of community among its members, so that if nothing else, they are reminded that they are not alone on their journey down this often tortuous path. We want our members to know that their (social) lives needn't come to a screeching halt after an HIV diagnosis; and that there's a difference from being *alive* with HIV and truly *living* and *thriving* with HIV.


UB2 was formed in 2013, and we are now attempting to expand our reach by joining the community here on Facebook. We welcome ANYONE to visit us here, like our postings, follow us, and spread the word about the work we're doing. However, if you are interested in becoming a UB2 member, you must go to our official website and join us there. Here on Facebook, we will only post a smattering of the activities and information that you'll find on our official site (which is under construction) www.ub2inc.org, which will redirect you to our current home on meetup.com, which is much more robust.
