United Way of the Great River Region

United Way of the Great River Region is the merged United Way made up of Big River United Way and Fort Madison Area United Way.

United Way of the Great River Region focuses on three areas: Health, Education, and Financial Stability. We support local nonprofit organizations who show a measurable impact in any of the three focus areas. We also provide our own programs: Volunteer Center, Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Back to School Festival, Literacy Project, & Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.

For 2017, we have granted out almost $142,000 to 28 nonprofit agencies. We believe in working together with other nonprofits and the community to make a larger impact. Together we can accomplish more than any of us could alone.
