Urban Loft

Imagine this…many, many moons ago, two young girls who lived in the South Lafourche area all of their days would meet in a high school Typing I class. Although being very opposite, their friendship grew into something special and unique. As they danced together as Tarponettes, doing high kicks with big hair,
wearing fishnet stockings and go-go boots, their friendship continued as it would throughout college, marriage, and raising children.

Both being business- orientated women, twenty some -odd years later the two women both felt the desire to start something new. With that being said, in February of 2012, over a casual lunch here in Houma, Susan V. Danos and Eva Smith decided on exactly what they wanted to be when they grew up.

Both women have a passion for shopping and for travel. Susan, having helped run a family business and Eva having gone to Fashion Merchandising School, the obvious was left in front of them-a clothing boutique!

On March 7th of 2012 Urban Loft was brought to life.

Since then, Susan and Eva have researched, studied, done lots of homework, and have been to market several times. Recently, they were graciously blessed with the ultimate retail space in the historical district of downtown Houma-7887 Main Street. One of the finest areas of Main Street, this location also offers a large area of public parking to the rear of its location.

Urban Loft will open its doors on March 1, carrying apparel for both men and women. Price points vary from low to high end with something for everyone.
