Urban Ventures

Urban Ventures Inc. (UV) is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, founded by the Rhode Island legislature, under the RI urban economic initiative in 1999, providing the general public and Micro businesses with business technical assistant.

UV is composed of a voluntary diverse board consisting of nine members who govern the organization. The organization is primarily funded by the Rhode Island legislature through the “Community grants” budget. Urban Ventures’ mission is to provide the general public and micro businesses, with business development assistance, through education, training and consultation.

Since 1999, Urban Ventures has assisted approximately 500 small community businesses in Rhode Island with access to business services ranging from Micro Business Boot-camps to Incubators, Micro Business coaching to Starting-up businesses.
