Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church

Welcome to Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church. Our church community offers the entire Birmingham, Alabama area a place to worship God and connect with others who are seeking to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. Here adults, youth and children experience a life-giving, healing, hope-lifting relationship with God, and have many opportunities to grow in our faith as we worship, study and serve together. Our goal is to transform our lives for Jesus Christ and together to transform the world.

For six decades, VHUMC has been in ministry with the Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Hoover and Birmingham communities. At VHUMC, our mission is clear, and strong. We offer compelling youth Sunday school lessons along with lots of activities as well as children’s Bible studies and care ministries. Our growing youth and ministry is continuing to find creative ways for your middle school and high school students to dive into God’s word. Adult Sunday School opportunities are designed around faith and service ministries to help you discover Christianity in new ways. Our senior adults are one of the most active groups you will find anywhere! The Hilltoppers, as they call themselves, are active in travel and a myriad of activities.

We offer a ministry focused on the Baby Boomer Generation – with hands on ministry, trips, and fellowship to connect Boomers with each other and with God. We also offer wide variety of Christian fellowship through our many church wide activities. These ministries involve local mission outreach, Women’s ministry events, our Lighthouse recreational facilities, Vestavia Dance and Vestavia Day School. Music is a cornerstone of VHUMC and there are many opportunities to become involved in one the vocal choirs, the hand bell choir, the praise band or orchestra. Our church also offers a unique programs in liturgical dance for dozens of age ranges. We hope that you will come and experience the love of God at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church.
