More about Visit Concord, NH

A service of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce: The Capital Region offers you enough things to do and see that you could easily spend a lifetime here. Antiques, skiing, hiking, wildlife, canoeing, art galleries, museums, historic sites, walking tours, farms, orchards, golf, country fairs, community suppers, youth activities and four beautiful seasons are part of the many features that enhance the quality of life in the area. The successful revitalization of Main Street into an active hub of community activities, commerce, politics and entertainment was the result of mutual support by the city, businesses and the community. One of the anchors to New Hampshire's revitalized downtown is a State House crowned by a gleaming gold, eagle-topped dome which can't be missed by motorists passing through on I-93.

A major renovation in the 1990s to the 1,360-seat Capitol Center for the Arts continues to enjoy tremendous success as a venue for nationally and internationally acclaimed performers as well as local performers. Concord is proud to be home to the largest community music school north of Boston, the Concord Community Music School, and the capital region’s symphony orchestra, the Granite State Symphony Orchestra. Our thriving arts community includes notable galleries such as the Mill Brook Gallery and Sculpture Garden and McGowan Fine Art. Other popular destination points include the Museum of New Hampshire History, Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, Pierce Manse, Concord City Auditorium and the Kimball-Jenkins Estate and Art School, Canterbury Shaker Village, and the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, all of which are not mere attractions but learning experiences.
