To make a pizza that keeps people talking, eating, and sharing with family & friends, you have to start in the neighborhood. At least that’s the way we saw it in 1988 when we opened the very first location. Back then, Founder Varol Ablak started a tradition of taste that would eventually deliver Vocelli Pizza into the national spotlight.

Founded on artisan recipes, we earned a distinct reputation for quality taste for the serious pizza eater. Starting with our daily hand-tossed dough, mixed with extra virgin olive oil, our award-winning pies are then topped with our private-labeled sauce, made from freshly-packed, vine-ripened tomatoes and covered with 100% Real Wisconsin mozzarella cheese. Each pie is then finished with only market-fresh toppings — from the little pepperoni that cups and curls on each pizza, to snow white mushrooms and crisp green peppers, to savory pepperoni and farm fresh sausage.

The name “Vocelli” represents our high quality products, including a wide variety of artisan pizzas made to signature taste standards. Fresh, made-to-order strombolis, house baked subs, salads, and appetizers perfect the Vocelli experience. Today, Vocelli Pizza has grown to nearly 100 east coast locations with each one making a positive impact.

Did you know that extra virgin olive oil is baked right into our dough?

Extra virgin olive oil is the highest quality classification of all the olive oils and is produced mainly in the Eastern Mediterranean region. The aroma and taste of our artisan dough comes from this unique family recipe.

Our wheat flour is made from spring wheat grown in the northern tier states of North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana. Specific spring wheats are blended to provide a consistent quality, high gluten flour for our pizza dough. It is this quality that gives our crust the full taste in every bite. The dough is proofed and hand-tossed each day for every order for a freshly-baked rise to golden perfection.

Many point to Wisconsin’s high-quality,limestone-filtered water supply and its outstanding alfalfa, which contribute mightily to the quality of the milk. These factors continue to draw cheesemaking artisans from Italy, Switzerland, France and other European cheesemaking regions.

Others point to the proximity of the milk supply to the cheesemakers.

Still others cite the prevalence of skilled third- and fourth-generation family farmers and the unparalleled infrastructure supporting both dairying and cheesemaking there. Indeed, for all these reasons, Vocelli Pizza serves every pizza with Wisconsin mozzarella cheese.
Did you know that Vocelli pizza sauce is private-labeled?

During the harvest season, these vine-ripened tomatoes are rushed from farm fields of California and are cooked immediately to the desired taste.The traditional one-stage process is designed to maximize fresh tomato flavor at the expense of additional cost.

Our signature pizza sauce is only made from freshly- packed tomatoes, not the re-manufacturing process which diminishes a tomato’s natural compounds that give it its distinctiveflavor. Knowing the truth will help you make knowledgeable decisions about what you eat and what you serve your family.
