West Tennessee Creativity Camp

This camp was founded on the idea of teaching kids how to think creatively and solve complex problems in new ways. It started in 2012 with over 40 campers and almost 20 volunteers. It was conceived as an affordable outlet for kids to express their creativity while learning valuable life skills.

It is for anyone entering grades 3-­12 for the 2016-2017 school year who
are interested in theater, music, mechanics, construction, science, and everywhere in
between. It is a three day camp, during which the kids will be asked to complete a
number of creative challenges involving all types of skills. Some challenges will take seconds to solve while others will be solved over hours. After camp on the last day, the kids will give group
performances with their solution to the longest challenge. The kids will work on these
performances every day throughout the entire camp, and family and friends are encouraged to attend!

Our 2015 camp will run June 27, 38, & 29, from 9:00 to 3:00 every day. After the last day we
will have the group performances of the children’s challenge solutions.

There is a fee of $35 per camper. Waivers are available for anyone who would have
difficulty with the fee. This fee will go towards any supplies that will be needed. Any
funds that might be left over will be donated to local Destination Imagination
organizations. DI is a global organization involving over 30 countries and almost 200,000 participants annually, and teaches many of the same skills as our camp.

We have many dedicated and experienced adult volunteers that help make this possible, and keep everything in order. So, your kids will be in good hands!
