This beef is Natural. We guarantee NO growth hormones or feed antibiotics and no steroids. The steers are raised on pasture and hay fed for about 13 months, then grain finished for about 6 months. They are all calves that we have raised from our own breeding stock - we know their history.

Natural, grass fed & grain finished beef is tender and better tasting, more affordable and still healthier than processed beef. It will maintain the marbling which keeps it tender and juicy for those that prefer it.

The grain is 12%protein, 3% fat. It consists of corn, wheat, barley & Oats.

A finished steer is bout 16-18 months old and on the hoof will weigh aprox 1,100 - 1,250 lbs.

The steers are butchered with humanitarian methods only by professional, custom local butcher

Hanging weight will be aprox 600 lbs (for a whole beef)

The beef will hang for aprox 21 days

If you are adventurous or educational, you are welcome to come and visit, inspect the feed, pick out your own steer, come for the harvest and see it hang in the butcher shop.

We will deliver within a 50 mile radius of Yuba or Sacramento county. Delivery is available outside the area for covered cost.

We are taking reservations now for our next steers that will be ready Spring 2014.

Your beef will be cut & wrapped to your specifications, right down to the dog bones! Our local butcher shops (Tootles in Wheatland or Landry's in Sheridan) charge aprox $.85 - $.89/lb or it can be taken to the butcher shop of your choice.
