Whispering Pines is a village in Moore County, North Carolina, United States. The racial makeup of the village was 97.89% White, 1.15% African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.33% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 0.05% from other races, and 0.24% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.15% of the population.There were 970 households out of which 14.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 76.7% were married couples living together, 2.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.6% were non-families. 19.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.15 and the average family size was 2.43.
