More about Wichita Scottish Rite Center

The Wichita Scottish Rite Center is part of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, and has been a part of Wichita history for more than 120 years.

Today, the Center is home to the Wichita Scottish Rite, Wichita York Rite, and several Masonic Lodges. The Wichita Scottish Rite is a fraternal organization whose members support local, state and national service projects. Projects include RiteCare® Speech, Language and Hearing Clinics; and JROTC programs.

Originally constructed as a YMCA, then sold to the Scottish Rite in 1898, the Wichita Scottish Rite Center was named to the National Registry of Historic Places of America in 1972.
