The Village of Wilde Lake was first established in 1967 and became the first of ten villages built in Columbia, Maryland. The village encompasses the Slayton House community center, the Swim Center, several community pools, tennis courts, a 22-acre man-made lake, retail shopping and three neighborhoods that include Bryant Woods, Faulkner Ridge, and Running Brook.
