Wing Chun (詠春), also romanized as Ving Tsun or Wing Tsun, is a martial art style generally regarded as one of the most efficient self-defense systems available. It is a no nonsense form of Chinese Kung Fu (功夫) that assumes no quarter and has no rules, rituals, or flashy movements. It is noted for its simple, direct, and effective techniques that are applied simultaneously in combination for attack and defense. Wing Chun uses the minimum amount of energy to achieve the maximum amount of damage in the shortest amount of time– making Wing Chun an ideal style for anyone seeking self-defense.

SiFu Dustan Carroll, the Owner and Chief Instructor of The Wing Chun Boxing Academy™ LLC, is a 10th generation disciple of Wing Chun Kung Fu in the Yip Man/Duncan Leung lineage*. He has instructed others in Wing Chun since 2004.

The System’s curriculum includes three hand forms or boxing sequences ( Siu Lin Tao, Chum Kil, Bil Jee) one wooden dummy form (Mook Yong Jong), and two weapons forms (pole or Look Dim Gwan and double knives or Baat Jaam Do). The forms are easy to learn but take a lifetime to master.

At our school, material from the different forms or levels are inter-dispersed throughout the training to create a cohesive holistic approach to the student’s education and training in the system.

Wing Chun is an ideal martial art and self defense system for women.

Please wear comfortable clothes to train in. Closed toed shoes, NO BOOTS allowed. We request that you contact us in advance if you are new so that we will know to expect you.
