Wiz Kids Daycare & Academy

We welcome you and your family to Wiz Kids Daycare and Academy and look forward to supporting you in your role as parents. We value the uniqueness of each family and will make every effort to meet your individual needs. While Wiz Kids is primarily for your child, it is your school also. We encourage you to participate in our programs, invite you to observe our classroom settings, and enjoy an impromptu visit. We hope that you will find Wiz Kids to be a wonderful place that continues to strengthen your relationship with your child. As with any service organization, however, we must set forth policy to promote the common good and ensure compliance with state rules and regulations. This handbook is written as a guide to summarize helpful information and to highlight our policies. We encourage you to keep it on hand and use it as a reference, but it is not intended to take the place of open, personal communication. We encourage you to voice any concerns you may have to your child’s teachers or to administration. As young minds develop, they have an extraordinary capacity to learn. During these few years, it is extremely important to make sure your child is in an environment that is both challenging and rewarding. We have a Philosophy at Wiz Kids that our staff believes that each child needs a safe and nurturing environment in which to explore and experiment. Through age appropriate activities, each child can master skills in the areas of communication, cognitive and physical development, and social interaction. By experiencing success in each of these areas, a child becomes more confident and self-reliant. These positive learning experiences at an early age contribute to the child's sense of self and emotional well-being. When children are presented with an opportunity to experience the world in an age appropriate and temperamentally appropriate setting, they will fulfill their inborn quest for learning. With assistance and direction of knowledgeable and experienced teachers, young children can develop a strong sense of self through their accomplishments. The relationship built with teachers and peers enables children to develop a sound social foundation, which will enable them to be successful in their future endeavors.
