When Jim Cowdrey was serving in the Air Force as a navigator on a B-52, he would sometimes take an afternoon lap around the Rockies. With his team he’d cruise the Big Horn Mountains at low altitude, arc through lower Montana, fly by the west side of the Tetons and come down at his base in Rapid City, South Dakota. Jim used to look down and think, “This country is beautiful. One day I’ll live in Wyoming.”


He ended up in Worland just as Willard Applegate was selling his Ford dealership—it had been there since 1947 and he was getting out of the business. Jim stepped in around 1983, added the Chrysler franchise in 1985. He has built a team of professionals to serve his dealership, and a loyal customer base to go with it. His crew has over 76 years in experience keeping customers happy with great vehicles and service.
