Young Guns Hatch Green Chile

Young Guns Produce, Inc. is located in Hatch, New Mexico (also known as, “The Chile Capital of The World”). The corporation was established in February of 1992. The principal owners are Chris and Tammy Franzoy.

Young Guns Produce began its focus on marketing produce grown in Hatch, New Mexico with the idea of supporting the community and delivering great food to the consumer. Chris has always headed up the sales department, and has been at the desk for over 25 years. The company has evolved into one of the largest suppliers of onions and fresh Hatch Green Chile, pumpkins,and New Mexico Pinto Beans in the Hatch Valley. The newest edition to our Hatch produce is our Frozen Hatch Green Chile.

More than 82 years ago the Franzoy family first began growing chile in Hatch, New Mexico. When they first arrived from Austria they had no idea what chile was. Today, the Franzoy clan has grown to over 700 and many continue farming Hatch chile today.

Young Guns Produce operates from a 60,000 square foot warehouse located at 1230 B. B. Romig Road off of New Mexico Highway 187, Hatch, New Mexico. Our packing warehouse is serviced by major interstates I-25 and I-10, allowing easy access to national shipping points.

The warehouse is located in the heart of the Hatch Valley, allowing freshly harvested produce to be packed and shipped while the product is at its utmost peak quality. We have a 30 truck load cold storage capacity to keep our produce fresh.

Young Guns produce maintains the highest food safety standards at all times. We comply with GAP ( good agricultural practices) and GMP (good manufacturing practices). Young Guns is certified through Primus Labs and received a 99.25% rating on our last audit.

Young Guns Produce also co-owns another company called “Billy the Kid Produce, LLC, which is located in Deming NM. At Billy The Kid we pack over 1 million 50# bags of onions each season in all sizes and colors. We also are the largest grower-shipper of Pumpkins in New Mexico.
