1550 MAIN

1550 Main premises consists of approximately 1.4012 acres of land (61,037 sf) that is improved with a five-story office building with an underground secure parking garage containing gross building area of approximately 150,000 square feet and 128,012 square feet of net rentable area. Nestled in downtown Springfield, MA, the premises includes a plaza and pedestrian sidewalks surrounding the building.

1550 Main was built in 1982 to house the U.S. Federal Court house and various government agencies. The building consists of a steel frame structure with brick veneer and ribbon windows. Floors consist of lightweight concrete on top of a steel deck with protected steel beams and frame.

Massachusetts Development Finance Agency, the state’s largest economic development and public financing agency, purchased 1550 Main as a redevelopment project in September 2009 from the GSA. Renovation completed in 2010 included new landscaping, a new building entrance, complete lobby redesign and new elevators.
