More about 1840 Dulles Inn

We bought 67 South Street in May of 2013 to live in it with thoughts of making it into a venue
Since... ....we moved in on the third floor which has a lovely apartment including the second ballroom
The property continues to be our main residence with hopes of someday becoming another part of Auburn's wonderful history!
.
. The mansion is listed in the City of Auburn as a single family historic home in a Commercial C-4 Zone District..Being zoned for a B & B.
Great news....The mansion is being issued a National Historic Marker in the spring of 2015 stating
"John Foster Dulles lived here , Secretary of State to President Dwight Eisenhower".
A nice addition to the already historic South Street!
The mansion is 8,800 sq ft and features
seven fireplaces, nine bathrooms, eight bedrooms, two kitchens, 2 ballrooms, dining room, library & solarium.
The carriage house is 2,800 sq ft with a full bath and will be renovated into the third phase for in/outdoor venue.

There will be 4 bedrooms, each with a private bath.
As stated above we continue to painstakingly and lovingly put much time and money into the property to maintain it's historical significance and character.
We invite you to follow along as the historic mansion is continually being restored and brought to life over the coming months. We hope to open to full capacity June 11, 2016.
To follow is a ceremonial ribbon cutting in June, 2016. The Dulles family (Dr James Dulles Seymour) Marion Seymour Dulles)Siblings of Nataline Seymour Dulles), Sybilla Avery Cook (Niece of Janet Avery Dulles), Ms Janet Hinshaw Thomas (Grandaughter of John Foster Dulles & Janet Avery Dulles) will be in attendance to cut the ribbon along with Dr Peter S. Usowski, CIA Director of the Center for the Study of Intelligence and Dorothy Wickenden, Great Niece of Edwin Delevan Woodruff.
Needless to say we are very excited!

Respectfully,
Elizabeth Koenig
