“Timothy where Do you see yourself in 5 years?”

This is the question my mom would ask me when I was 18 and floundering. I had absolutely no answer for her. I did not even contemplate what my future would look like then. I was too busy having FUN, being a young man to be troubled thinking about some distant future.

Around 25, while struggling as a part time grocery clerk, painting addresses on peoples curbs to afford diapers, and formula for my very young children I realized MOM WAS RIGHT (aren’t they always) I started to get it that if I was to get anywhere in life I needed to step up and take accountability for my life. That was the day I really learned… “If it is to be. It’s up to me.”

I looked at my future from a whole new angle. I asked myself a few key questions.

1. Where DO I see myself in 5 years?
2. Where do my talents lie?
3. What can I do to earn more money?
4. How am I going to pay off this debt I’ve accumulated?
5. What SPECIFIC ACTIONS can I take now to make this happen?

Asking and answering these questions led me to find the answers for me. I found a career selling Real Estate. It was my niche and I went on to do very well at this and investing in real estate also. I was lucky. Too many do not find their answers and either look to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain, or just “get by” daily, never finding THEIR true calling.

We all find ourselves not exactly where we want to be in life from time to time. Some of us go down really rough roads that are seemingly impossible to turn things around and create the “magnificent life” that I think we all have in store for us if we simply tune in to what IS possible and go towards our destiny with “a plan and a purpose.”

How do we turn our lives around for us? Especially with the tough times we face here in today's challenging circumstances. I think the answer lies by going deep inside ourselves and asking the 5 tough questions I asked myself (above) many years ago.

This is why we created 1 Life Fully Lived. To help people find THEIR best answers at how they can “play their game full out.” We want to be a part of helping YOU and your loved ones look for these answers within themselves and find a way to step up and play the life game full out!
