About The Farmstead in Midlothian:

Who: 360 grassroots (a public charity) and YOU! All interested persons in building a sense of community in Midlothian

What: "The Farmstead in Midlothian", a development that will act as a portal and a gateway into Midlothian.

"The Farmstead in Midlothian" brings together the past and the present in a 31-acre community development of shopping, dining, entertainment and the arts that will act as a portal/gateway into Midlothian. Housed in old homes and barns from the area that have been renovated for adaptive reuse, some 80 shops and restaurants line a grass covered boulevard filled with gathering areas of its own that entice visitors to sit a while. The renovated homes and barns, which have been relocated to the Farmstead from around Ellis County, also provide spaces for community gardens, arts, artisans, demonstrations and performances. Shops in one section sell products for health and well-being while other shops provide traditional boutique products. At the end of the boulevard visitors find a wedding venue with multiple options from the small and casual to the large formal. The largest Victorian home, a Bed & Breakfast for wedding guests, was once home to the Anderson family who farmed the area.

Unique in its design and its vision, the Farmstead also supports the community with meeting and performing venues ranging in size from the picnic tables in the boulevard to an open air pavilion to a theater where area residents can enjoy performances both local and national. The farmstead invites those of all ages to come and dine, shop, be entertained and be educated – or just meet friends for a cup of coffee on the boulevard.

When: Ashgrove just donated the property to 360 grassroots and we are in the process of building our team.

Where: Off of highway 67. North of 9th street in Midlothian, Texas.

Why: Because we care about the community and want to build a better Midlothian! A place that promotes community!
