A Better Daytona

Our group supports the inclusion of enforceable height limits for our barrier island via regulations in our City Charter. Seventy Five feet on the ocean front and at the base of the existing bridges and Thirty Five feet everywhere else. These common sense protections will promote responsible development, protect our residential character, and focus high density to areas of the city more appropriate such as West International Speedway Blvd and Beach St.

Additional benefits include ending incentives to promote the type of development residents do not want as well as freeing the politicians to focus on the residential base and their quality of life.

A Charter Amendment Petition will be released soon. It requires signatures from registered voters of Daytona Beach.
