About Alexis Nance.
As early as the age of 5, if asked, “What you want to be when you grow up?” my response was, “I wanna do hair!” Since I had a very definitive idea of how my own hair should be styled it became clear that I wanted to share my passion and make people feel beautiful inside and out.

I have over 5 years experience in the industry. I’m confident in all hair textures and styles for both men and women and specialize in formal styling for any occasion. While focusing on Kevin Murphy and Keune Hair Cosmetics, I continue to attend hair shows and classes to advance my education and maintain a fresh perspective on my craft.

I bring a positive, upbeat attitude and take pride in teaching my clients how to get the look they desire while making them feel comfortable in my chair. Consistency is a must as I strive to exceed the expectations of my clients as well as my own. My desire and fresh approach to remain in trend with hair and the fashion industry continues to pave the path for success!

Amber joined Keune Hair Cosmetics in 2007 as a regional artist and moved to their National Color Team in 2012. That same year, Richmond Magazine named her one of Richmond, Virginia’s Top 3 Colorists. Her work has been published in American Salon and various media marketing ads, and she’s developed training for, and mentored, apprentices and young salon professionals.

Continuing education isn’t just something Amber “preaches” for others; she practices it herself too. Currently a studio artist traveling throughout the U. S. and Canada, she stays on top of what’s going on in the market and brings a fresh eye to her craft. She finds creating dimensional color with various isolated block coloring techniques particularly vitalizing.
