As a Pediatric Psychologist, I have a passion for helping children, adolescents, adults, and their families adjust, adapt and/or accept their medical condition. I also evaluate and treat a variety of behavioral health diagnoses.
I have over 10 years of experience working in K-12 schools, college/university settings, child care centers, primary clinic clinics, and large medical hospitals. I have worked in both civilian and military settings and understand the specific needs of military children and their families.
Therapeutic interventions I have found most helpful in addressing a variety of concerns include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavior Modification, Motivational Interviewing, and Hypnosis. I am also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT and Prolonged Exposure for trauma-related concerns for children, adolescents, and adults.
I am passionate about what I do. I care about people and want the best for them in their lives. I have an easy-going, but direct therapeutic style. I believe people do best when they feel heard and have supportive people in their lives.
