More about A Ray of Hope - New Women's/Children's Shelter

In 1999, A Ray of Hope was founded by Peggy and Bob Christensen. Their goal, and vision?
- "A Ray of Hope is dedicated to helping those in our community who need help. No one is ever turned away from our doors in normal circumstances. We seek to minister the love of God in very practical ways to those who need it most."

A Ray of Hope has since expanded it's doors through God's love and good people. In 2010, A Ray of Hope Trust became the owner of the now Hope Thrift. Hope thrift is a blessing to the community and the ministry of A Ray of Hope.

God has brought even more hope and promise to the Flathead Valley by allowing the abandoned home across the way to be purchased by a very generous man that God had sent our way. It has now been put into A Ray of Hope Trust, and a vision for a women's shelter is now in sight.

Through prayer, God has shown that His will is to have a home for women with children to find safety in. This is a very large project and it is the beginning phases of getting started. We are working on organizing, fundraising, and nearly every aspect in creating a new home.

The old home will be torn down, paving way for a new home to be built for struggling women, providing God's love, wisdom, and grace.

A Ray of Hope is keeping a list of people who are willing to volunteer and help us on this project. If you feel lead to help in funding, labor, or materials, please let us know. We will keep everyone posted through A Ray of Hope's newsletter, face book page, or website @ www.arayofhopemontana.com as well as by phone. Call the office at 406-755-4673 and you will be put on the list of people working as a community helping to get this shelter built and kiddos living in safety, as mothers get back on their feet with a hand up to take care of their children.
