A Touch of Class – Consignment Boutique

Consigning with A Touch of Class Boutique is simple; you will wonder why you hadn't consigned before now!!

At A Touch of Class Boutique, we really appreciate our consignors and we want to make the consignment process as easy as possible. In order to make things run smoothly and sell your items quickly, we have to set some rules.

•Items are accepted for consignment Monday - Saturday. We are accepting items for consignment by appointment only. If you are one of our current consignors and would like to bring in additional items, please give us a call and we will let you know what we are accepting at the current time and when you can stop by. If you are a brand new consignor, please give us a call so that we can schedule a time for you to bring your items in.

•When you come in at your scheduled appointment time, we will go through your items and let you know what we can accept for consignment and return anything to you that we cannot accept.

•Maximums and minimums. We must accept a minimum of 5 items in order to set up an account for you. (We will make exceptions for certain instances where less than 5 high end items are brought in.) There is a maximum of 30 items that you can bring in at one time for your consignment appointment.

•Clothing must be in perfect condition and freshly laundered either from a dry cleaner or from your washing machine.

•Clothing must be pressed. Either from your iron or the dry cleaner. (Seriously)

•Please check all of the vital areas of the clothing. Arm pits, crotch, collar and ends of sleeves. If you see anything that shouldn't be there.. get it cleaned or leave it home. (Come on, have a heart! We don't like to discover any surprises)

•Clothing must be brought in one of two ways: On hangers (which you must leave with us until we put your items into the system. We will return the hangers, at your request, once your items are processed). The second option is having your items neatly folded in a paper boutique shopping bag or plastic storage tub. (Storage Tubs do not include laundry baskets, cardboard boxes and anything else that's not a plastic storage tub. )

•Clothing must be within the current season. (We are currently accepting winter items)

•A Touch of Class Boutique is anxious to sell your items as much as you do and for that we encourage you to let your friends, family and any one you know about us.

•Consignment split is 40/60 ( 40% going to the consignor and 60% being retained by A Touch of Class Boutique)

•Items not sold after 3 months will be reduced price to sell, if after discounted it remains unsold items will be donated to goodwill.

What we accept for consignment:

•Women's clothing and accessories (including new or very gently worn shoes, jewelry, scarves, purses and belts)

•Women's maternity clothing

•Designer clothing - Not just high end designer, but designers of all kinds. Merchandise that is currently on the selling floor ranges from Banana Republic to Dolce & Gabanna.

•Vintage Clothing - Not just old, but cool. We love vintage items that are currently in fashion. Dated items like jackets with huge shoulder pads or acid washed jeans with high waists are not what we mean when we say vintage.

Still not sure? Think 1950's and 1960's classic style items...Jackie O, Marilyn Monroe etc.

What we will not accept for consignment:

•Active wear (clothing that you work out in)
•Swimwear
•Pajamas and Lingerie (even if they are brand new)
•Body suits (anything that has a snap in the crotch area)
•Shoes that are scuffed, show walk patterns, or otherwise not gently worn.
•100% cotton/linen items that are not pressed
•Items with pet hair or excessive lint. (Need we say more?)
•Items that have holes, tears, stains, rips, missing buttons, broken zippers
•Dated items that are not fashionable now (large shoulder pads, high waist pants from the 80's)
•Sneakers/Tennis Shoes (exceptions include Diesel, Coach and other fashionable sneakers)
•Anything acid washed
•Anything that smells like moth balls or smoke
We love our consignors and we would love for you to be one of them. We ask that you carefully inspect your items before bringing them in for your appointment. If the lighting in your closet is poor, please use better lighting to look for stains and flaws. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement. Please take your part seriously. If your items have been sitting in storage for a year, you need to go through the items before bringing them in. We do not and will not sort through your items if they are stained, dirty, excessively wrinkled, or covered in animal hair.
