A&S Kinard

A&S Trucking Service, Inc., the original operating entity, was founded in 1982 as a regional, service intensive, dry & refrigerated carrier providing services to established manufacturers in Maryland's Hunt Valley Industrial Complex in northern Baltimore County.
The company’s founders had numerous years of experience in transportation and executive management with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. In fact, the family of William D. Schmidt, Sr., one of the original principals, has origins in transportation dating back to the turn of the 20th Century in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. A&S Services Group is proud to have members of the Schmidt family that remain active in the business today

A&S operates a state of the art, late model fleet of tractors and straight trucks complemented with 53' composite plate trailers designed to accommodate the needs of shippers requiring premium services in a geography best defined as North Carolina to New England, and out to Ohio Valley and Indiana.
In late 2005, the company announced its expansion into warehousing resulting from the demand for additional supply chain solutions from its core customer base. The A&S warehousing component now encompasses over 200,000 square feet with facilities in Hunt Valley, MD and Shrewsbury, PA, both located off of interstate 83 and central to all points north and south of the Baltimore region.

In the summer of 2009, senior management entered into a financial and strategic alliance with Larsen-MacColl Partners of Radnor, PA, now offering its full array of services under the name A&S Services Group, LLC.
