ABT's Jr High Student Ministry

NextGen is the middle school ministry of Anchorage Baptist Temple, including all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. NextGen is a great place for students to come and bring their friends who need a safe place to have fun, make positive friends, meet Godly adults, and be introduced to Christ Jesus. NextGen exists to encourage, train, and grow the next generation in their faith with Christ. It is our goal that the next generation of middle schoolers would live out their faith, and spread the Gospel to their friends, family, and the world beyond. Our mission is to create an authentic community of young Christians that effectively reaches out to the world in love, and forgiveness, so that unreached people may know the joy of salvation and a purposeful life. Here at NextGen we value the authoritative power of Scripture, and the need for Godly examples in our life. We always have a fun time, with God as the focal point for everything we do.
We meet Sundays at 10am in the mini gym, and Wednesday nights at 7pm. Sundays are more of a large group setting, and Wednesdays we like to break out into small groups, in order to dive a little deeper into the Word of God.
What to expect at NextGen
- Someone will welcome us
- We will pray and do announcements
- We will usually play a game to get everyone involved
- Someone will either give a lesson, or do small groups
-We usually take prayer requests and close in prayer time
But most importantly
-Students will have fun
-Students will meet new people
-Students will grow in their walk with Christ
