Academy of Performing Arts

As the Academy celebrates its 40th year of bringing the Performing Arts to Cape Cod, we would like to acknowledge and thank the hundreds of people who have shared their immeasurable talents with our community. Beginning with the vision of John and Elizabeth Kelly, the APA blossomed from a small group of teachers and students into a year round, Cape Cod institution for learning the Performing Arts. Through the years, the APA has worked hard to provide a safe
and supportive environment; where students can experience all of the benefits of an arts education. Our outstanding faculty, each accomplished in their chosen disciplines, have generously shared their talents, professional experience, and their love of the arts with their students; our APA families as well as the Friends of the Academy School, who have donated hours of their time for events, fundraisers, and performances; and, our students, who have given of themselves and worked countless hours to hone their skills and make the show go on... All of these individuals, together with the Trustees, Members, and Donors, have helped create and sustain this beloved organization and hold a truly special place in its history. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of the Academy, throughout the past 4 decades; and, commit ourselves to the future, where we can sustain and elevate that high standard of Arts Education, that was set by all of their efforts.
