Academy of Tucson District

*AOT district has earned an "A" rating by the AZ Department of Education

*The Academy of Tucson is an Arizona 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 1986. First established as a private school, it continued as such for thirteen years, through the 1998-99 School Year. In 1999 the school became an Arizona Charter School thus becoming a public tuition-free school.

The Academy of Tucson is a traditional K-12 school. Since its inception, the Board of Directors of the Academy has labored to assure the fiscal soundness of the school and is proud of its record of financial stability over the years.

The Academy owns two campuses through the successful sale of Pima County Industrial Development Bonds and is in the process of improving all its campuses. Current plans include improvements to athletic and fine arts facilities with a gymnasium and performing arts center along with plans to upgrade classrooms on both the Elementary and High School campuses. In addition to these improvement plans, The Academy of Tucson recently finished constructing its new middle school campus located on 22nd Street.
