Achieve, A Place to Grow

WORK CENTER: Clients (adults with disabilities) enrolled in our Work Center Program come to our facility to perform packaging, fulfillment and assembly tasks for local companies. Examples of the work performed include:
• Building custom cardboard boxes for technology companies’ products
• Applying labels to bottles for cleaning or beauty products
• Counting, sorting and bagging nuts and bolts for retail sale
• Assembling marketing packets for large conventions
Companies that use Achieve pay for services and clients performing the work receive a paycheck. All work is performed with guidance and training from a Production Supervisor who works in tandem with the Case Manager assigned to individual clients to ensure success and progress towards vocational and behavioral goals.

More than 165 adults with disabilities come to Achieve daily. Our Achievers take great pride in the work performed, mastering new skills, earning a paycheck and contributing to the success of local companies.

EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT PROGRAM
For adults with disabilities who choose to work in the community and/or graduate from the work training in our Work Center, we offer hands-on community employment placement services. Once clients are referred to us, we walk them through all steps of the job search and interview process. Support includes: Resume writing and review, online and offline job search training, step-by-step guidance for online and offline applications, mock interviews, interview preparation and transportation assistance.

Once clients are placed in a job, our goal is to ensure clients receive the support and guidance necessary to retain employment for at least six months. Our follow-up and support is provided as long as clients remain enrolled, which may be for decades. We are advocates for the employment of individuals with disabilities: we work to dispel myths about hiring someone with a physical or intellectual impairment and build meaningful partnerships with hiring managers at local companies who know we are a trusted resource for diverse, dependable and dedicated employees.
