ACT 1 Theatre

Dedicated to enriching communities through quality theater and professional and artistic development.

ACT 1 was founded by Chris and Petra Karr in 1995. Together they bring over 50 years of combined regional theatre experience in Washington. While Chris' background and training are in all aspects of technical design and production, Petra's experience is in acting, directing, and writing. Petra is also a certified high school drama teacher, and works closely through regional and state adjudication of the thespian society with the high school programs in our state.
ACT 1 performed in a black box studio near Sumner High School until July of 2016. In the Fall of 2016, performances moved to the historic Liberty Theater in Puyallup. Creative opportunities are available in Puyallup, Sumner and beyond.
