Action Metal Recycling

Action Metals Recycling is a small business in Richmond California. Action Metals Recycling has been around since 1995 but the business was started in 1955 under the name Fass Metals. Historically, the business has been centered around processing non - ferrous metals, but now Action Metals has begun to try to make the Electronic Waste business as important as its processing side.
Our Electronic Waste program has become quite progressive. We break down every computer that comes in into individual parts and sort them in bins according to each part (i.e. we put all the hard drives in one bin, all the fans in another etc.). We have also branched into the resale market. We take functional computers and resale them. One of the deals we have in place, is that we sell these functional computers to a man who ends up shipping them to Africa for lesser fortunate people. Since we are recyclers we feel that it is our duty to try to promote a healthier lifestyle for our community, so we feel that the resale market is one of the best ways to positively influence one.
