The Adams County Historical Society is an archives research library officially recognized as the repository for county records. These county materials include tax ledgers, birth records, marriage records, estate papers, and deeds just to name a few. In addition to county documents, the archives contain record and manuscript groups for local businesses, events, social groups, genealogy, and the Battle of Gettysburg. The archives also can boast an collection of photographic prints and negatives that exceeds 200,000 images.
