Thirty years of compassion, dedication, and line study have provided us with the opportunity to produce and import the finest German Shepherd and Doberman Pinscher companions avaliable. Svetdanhaus Canine Services (SCS) is driven to provide each customer with a refined canine, free of all known congenital and temperamental defects, capable of any level of training. Selective breeding through pedigree study and Schutzhund trial and show scores have enabled us to enhance the working potentials of the German Shepherd and the Doberman Pinscher breeds to produce Champion breed stock in both working trials and in show.


Working with animals has been a life long love of ours. I started training German Shepherds and Doberman Pinschers here in the USA in the early 1970's. AKC competition for a while and I eventually joined The United Schutzhund Clubs of America in 1986, member # 0243.

We are Schutzhund quality German Shepherd breeders and Doberman Pinscher breeders. Not all pups possess the drive required for advanced training; however they do make excellent pets for family companionship and security.

Through the years we have learned many training techniques. We have also learned that no one technique works best for all dogs. Doberman Pinscher puppies require different training techniques than German Shepherd puppies. The adult German Shepherd dog requires slightly different training techniques than the adult Doberman Pinscher dog. One critical point that does apply to all dogs is that the stronger the bond, the better the performance.

Svetdanhaus Canine Services has two locations in Plaquemine. Our training and kennel facility is located on Bayou Plaquemine where swimming is the method of choice for conditioning our dogs through the hot Louisiana summers. SCS Pet Products is a retail store located in the heart of Plaquemine with quality feeds, training supplies, and animal care products for sale.
