After Birth Alternatives

Having experienced postpartum depression with my first pregnancy, I knew that I would be willing to do anything to never feel that way again. Unfortunately in 2006 when I got pregnant with my second child the only option known to me was to remain on anti depressants throughout my second pregnancy. I was finally able to get off of anti depressants in 2011,7 years after starting them. It was a tough process, but I managed it successsfully and have been off of them for 5 years.

I heard about Placenta Encapsulation about 5 years ago and was instantly intrigued and fascinated by it. I researched the benefits and risks and KNEW that this would have been an amazing alternative to the anti depressants that I was prescribed. If only I had known such a thing existed at the time.

I completed my placenta encapsulation training and educations with PBIu, the organization that set the guidelines and standards for encapsulation education and training. I currently work at a local hospital in the lab where I process precious specimens, such as placentas on a daily basis. And have been doing so for over 15 years!

It is my passion and dream to offer women of the Central and Mid Coast Maine area a safe, clean and natural way to have their placenta encapsulated.
