James Kim, a native of South Korea, moved to Corpus Christi in 1995 to fulfill his dream of bringing fresh traditional sushi to the South Texas area. In 2002, his dream was realized when Aka Japanese Steak House opened at 5301 Everhart Rd. Suite #M, Corpus Christi, TX. Aka continues to delight residents of the coastal bend with their specialty rolls, traditional hibachi dining and Korean family specialities.
