The Alabama State Port Authority owns or operates the public seaport terminals at the Port of Mobile. The Port of Mobile is the 10th largest U.S. seaport in total trade handling over 58.5 million tons of cargo in 2015. The Authority's public terminals are served by Interstates 10 and 65, U.S. Highways 90/98, 43, and 45, 5 Class I railroads, a regional railroad, a 4-day rail ferry to/from Mexico, and nearly 15,000 miles of inland and intracoastal waterways.
