U.N.I.T. - a group of individuals working together to accomplish a common goal or task
We are the Alamance County Rescue Unit, Inc. Under the laws of the State of North Carolina, our agency is organized as, and functions as a non-profit corporation. We are Alamance County's sole certified Heavy Rescue provider, providing response and service 24 hours a day, to our entire county. Our agency operates several specialty teams, including a Dive Team, which provides underwater body and evidence search and recovery; the Swift Water Team and the K-9 Team. Rescue also provides ambulance standby coverage for public functions, sports events at venues such as Elon University's Rhodes Stadium, and at live burn trainings for local fire departments. Relied heavily upon by Alamance County EMS, we are their primary backup agency.
As we constantly remain proactive in regards to the personal health and safety of those we serve, protect, and educate, we conduct outreach events throughout the county. Some of these include the KidCare I.D. program, vehicle injury prevention programs, and preventitive health events. We hope you find your online experience with us both entertaining and educational.
