Wilmington State Parks is a cluster of urban parks along the quiet Brandywine Creek. These parks include Rockford Park, Brandywine Park, Brandywine Zoo, Baynard Stadium and H. Fletcher Brown Park. The parks offer a wide range of recreational opportunities, from a quiet stroll and wildlife watching, to more active pursuits on our game courts, ball fields, playgrounds, and trails.
Alapocas Run State Park has woodland trails, meadow habitats, the Can-Do Playground, ball fields, rock climbing and picnicking, along with Delaware's Contemporary Folk Art Collection on display at the park's Blue Ball Barn. The Blue Ball Barn is open 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. dialy from March to November and weedays only December through February.
