Albuquerque Studios is the leading independent film and television production facility in the United States outside of the traditional markets of Los Angeles and New York. Opened in 2007, the world-class, state-of-the-art facility includes eight (8) massive soundstages that are among the largest and most technologically advanced in North America. The $94 million facility also includes 78,000 sq. ft. of production office and over 100,000 sq. ft. of additional mill and support space, plus the full range of industry support services. ABQ has hosted such major Hollywood productions as Marvel Studios’ The Avengers, Disney’s The Lone Ranger starring Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp, The Book of Eli starring Denzel Washington, Terminator: Salvation, The Spirit, Due Date, Gamer, Let Me In, and many others. Television credits include all five seasons of multiple-Emmy Award winning series Breaking Bad, as well as NBCU’s In Plain Sight and ABC’s Scoundrels. The studio is also the headquarters and 24/7 broadcast operation center for cable and satellite network The Reelz Channel.
