Alex Hastings Music

Alex Hastings offers violin lessons at the Gorge Community Music Store. She also offers violin music for events in the Columbia Gorge Area, as well as personalized arrangements of compositions.
Alex has been playing the violin for over 10 years. She was a member of the Coeur D'Alene Youth Orchestra for six years- and she served as the Concert Mistress of this orchestra in her Junior and Senior year of High School.
Outside of her regular music activities, Alex played in the Idaho All-State Honor Orchestras (2014,2016) and the NAfME All-Northwest Honor Orchestra (2015). She also won the CdA Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition (2015) and placed 3rd in the Idaho State Solo Competition (2016). In her freshman year of college, Alex won the George Fox University Concerto Competition and performed in the George Fox Symphony Orchestra year-end concert (2017).
Alex is now a university student studying both Accounting and Music Composition. When she is not locked in a practice room, Alex creates compositions and arrangements for piano and stringed instruments. This year she has also started teaching private lessons for beginning and intermediate violin and viola students.
