Alfonso's Pastry Shoppe

Alfonso's Pastry Shoppe has been an esteemed bakery on Staten Island since 1970. Before Alfonso could even think about opening his own business, he knew his skills needed to be perfected. As a young man, Alfonso worked with regional chefs while living in Italy. After coming to America, his first job was baking at the Plaza Hotel and later became the pastry chef for The Hampshire House. Once his skills were refined, Alfonso decided to open his own pastry shop on Staten Island. The first Alfonso's Pastry Shoppe opened in 1970 , and was located on Manor Road. In 1978 the business moved to Victory Blvd, where it still successfully exists today.

Today, Alfonso's old techniques and traditions are being preserved by his two sons Vincent and Anthony Campitiello. Growing up in the baking business, they have become superb bakers and cake decorators. Since 1996, they have successfully run the shoppe and have even expanded to another location on Amboy Road. They still maintain their fathers dream of baking delicious pastries and delivering exceptional customer service. The two brothers now specialize in the latest cake trends, but keep a classic elegance to each design. It is the warmth and traditions that keep the brothers in business, but the service and taste that keeps the customers coming back for more.
