All Saints Hoboken

At All Saints, we believe that how we live speaks louder than what we say we believe. As such, our Social and Outreach Ministries help to support our community and the world wide community outside our doors.

All Saints Parish has a number of ministry sites in Hoboken, including:

Trinity Church (commonly known as All Saints Church) located at Seventh and Washington Streets
All Saints Episcopal Day School, next-door to the church, at 707 Washington Street
St. Nicholas Early Learning Center, located at 527 Clinton Avenue
The Church of the Holy Innocents at Sixth and Willow
The Jubilee Center, located at 601-603 Jackson Street



All Saints is a Progressive Christian Community active in practicing the "life and teachings of Jesus."



Through creative service, regular worship, challenging education programs for discipleship, deeds rather than words which proclaim our beliefs, and care and concern for the people of our community, this congregation seeks the welfare of the city and its people.

We are members of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark and are shaped by the worldwide Anglican Tradition. However, membership and participation at All Saints is open to all people. You do not have to be Episcopalian to join this congregation. We welcome and thrive from the participation of people from many different religious traditions, and our membership includes those from a variety of traditions.

The Parish has joined together in “being the Church of Jesus,” called to act and practice the character of freedom, justice, peace, charity, hope, and love of God that is the life and teachings of Jesus.

What do we mean by "Progressive Christian Community"?

Our congregation encourages others to join us in following the way to God that we have found in the life and teaching of the historical Jesus.

Our congregation respects people who have found other ways to God and we acknowledge that their ways are as true for them as Jesus is true for us.

Our congregation shares bread and wine in Jesus' name as a continuation of holding up an ancient vision for all people to be welcomed at the same table.

We do not insist that people become like us in order to be acceptable but invite people of all sorts to participate in our spiritual life and our social life--- including but not limited to:


Believers and agnostics,

Conventional Christians and questioning skeptics,

Children, women and men,

Those who are straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender,

Those who hope for a better world and those who have lost hope,

Those of all races and cultures, of all classes and abilities.


Our congregation thinks that the way we behave toward one another and toward other people is more important than the way we talk about our beliefs.

We value questioning more than answering because we find more promise in the quest for understanding than we do in absolute certainty.

We form community to equip ourselves for the work of justice and peace for all people and to bring hope to the oppressed and despised.

We recognize that being followers of Jesus can be costly because Jesus calls us to resist evil actions, that may result in the loss of familiar privileges - this is an honored tradition of the church where it has been most faithful.
