I was born a proofreader. It seems as soon as I could read, errors and mistakes seemed to pop out at me. One of my earliest "catches" was as a 6-year-old, when I pointed out my teacher's misspelling of the word "hippopotamus" on the blackboard. (She had left out one set of "po.") As I got older, I became the second set of eyes for friends and family when they had written work they needed help with. This continued through college and into married life, as I became my husband's proofer and editor for his master's and doctoral degrees. I even found employment with a company who began the LEXIS online legal research service, proofreading and editing documents for it. That job and I were a match made in heaven. I left it when we started our family.
Now I'm putting my skills back to work for you. I've recently completed Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice. I have received training that will ensure reporters who work with me can relax, knowing I want to help them present their best work possible in a timely manner.
I also proofread other documents and media, including marketing and business material, blogs, articles, books, and the like. I have a passion for helping you look your best in writing, whether in print or online.
