Alpha Center for Training (ACT) is comprised of recovery minded people who are dedicated to training others with the spiritual technologies proven to assist in learning a new lifestyle of recovery. Whether you provide treatment services, recovery support services or are seeking a deeper understanding for yourself, you will benefit from knowing the difference between the spirituality needed for recovery and the religiosity that so often hinders recovery. We seek to answer such questions as: “Can you be spiritual without being religious?”; “How does “faith” help someone recover?”; “Where is God in my recovery?”

Our staff is comprised of professional instructspiritual-recoveryors and ACT is an approved Level A provider of CEU’s for the Florida Certification Board. The people involved with ACT are trained to move in the founding spirit and scriptural truth of the 12 Step Model. Each course is designed to benefit the treatment, faith, and other professional communities in their efforts to assist persons suffering from substance use disorders and other life controlling issues. The training and classes offered are focused on the whole person. We provide the current best information to address the physical, soul and spiritual issues involved in recovery. In each class we emphasize the importance and power of true spirituality and authentic faith in developing a long, satisfying recovery lifestyle.

The classes are held in a serene setting of natural beauty at Freedom Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida. Ample time is provided for networking and fellowship in a retreat atmosphere of recreation and relaxation. Lunches are included in the cost of the classes and provide an opportunity for informal discussion and fellowship. Our location is also available and perfect for day long seminars. We host introductory retreats with a spiritual theme to address the role of spirituality recovery. For those working in treatment or recovery support programs we offer seminars and retreats geared toward personal renewal for care givers. All such activities are based on a genuine love and respect for the individuals involved to enhance their own personal recovery or refresh the care givers with a time of rest as well as new information.
