On May 15, 1851, Alpha Delta Pi was founded at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. Alpha Delta Pi holds the distinction of being the world's first secret society for college women.
On November 13, 1937, the Beta Sigma chapter of ΑΔΠ was installed as the first national sorority chartered at Mercer University, and is proud to celebrate the 75th anniversary of our chapter's founding in 2012. One of our founders, Helen Glenn, was also the first Panhellenic President. Mercer is located in Macon, Georgia, and we have a rich history of Alpha Delta Pi in our surroundings to enjoy.
The qualifications for membership have remained unchanged through the years: scholarship, high principles of behavior, and true friendships. Alpha Delta Pi is home to the first and finest, forever.
