Altura AZ

Altura is a 55+ age restricted, active adult community located in the foothills of the Rincon Mountains east of Tucson, with miles of hiking and biking trails near the 67,000 acre Saguaro National Park East. The community was first established in the late 1990s as Academy Village by former University of Arizona President Henry Koffler and his development partner Lloyd Lewis.

The Altura community surrounds the Academy Village Campus, is a multi-building complex located in the heart of the community where residents and visitors gather. The Academy Village Campus is home to the Academy Villas, an assisted living complex, and the Arizona Senior Academy - a premier lifelong learning program with weekly seminars, lectures and concerts.
