Alvin Community College - Alvin Community Band

The Alvin Community Band is a very active music group. Since its beginning on July 4th, 1994, this versatile group has played many major concerts. Performances have included numerous park concerts, civic events and college functions. The band rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm on the ACC Campus. Membership is free and open to adults who play concert band instruments. Experienced high school students are allowed to play, with directors permission, based on instrumentation needs.
The Alvin Community Band was founded by former ACC Band Director Jerry Perkins. Jerry currently plays trumpet in the band and still conducts the group on occasion. Current ACC Band Director David Griffith now serves as conductor of the ACB. for more information call or email with the contacts below.
