American Academy of Martial Arts Alpha Omega Martial Arts

Students are taught a dynamic combination of martial arts styles and solid life skills in a positive, safe environment. Our foundation is Tae Kwondo (Korean), combined with Ishin Ryu (Okinawan), Jujitsu (Japanese) and American Boxing.

Exercise with a purpose. Martial Arts incorporates the use of all major muscle groups, increasing aerobic capacity and endurance. Balance and coordination improve. Mental concentration compliments the physical component, achieving overall mind/body fitness and effective stress management.

Street awareness. We educate students to be mentally prepared. By raising the student's awareness of possible hazards, s/he can increase control over their environment and conquer unreasonable fears. Hands-on self defense training is stressed.

Discipline and respect. As students learn to accept positive direction and correction and show proper respect, they gain self discipline and self respect.

Self confidence. Our program is designed to teach students how to set and achieve both short term and long term goals. Working to progress through the ranks allows the student to rise above the next challenge. Seeing these things accomplished boosts self confidence and a “can so” attitude.

“Lineage” or where you come from, is very important in Martial Arts. We trace our lineage to Dr. Robert Davis, founder of Omega Karate. Dr. Davis began studying Taekwondo under Henry Cho in 1972. He continued training under Cho for several years until he found Master Daniel Jong, 8th Dan, who shared many secrets and applications with Dr. Davis.
