American Airlines Federal Credit Union was founded in 1936 by a small group of American Airlines employees who shared the goal of creating a member-owned, co-operative financial institution where employees could help each other.

Throughout 2011, we celebrated our 75th year of focusing on what works best for our member-owners. American Airlines Credit Union is growing, with a net worth of more than $516 million and assets surpassing $5.6 billion.
